Study 2026 · 4th annual survey · n = 74
Your supply chain ends where your data does.
24% of the surveyed companies have full visibility of their direct suppliers. One tier further down, it is 2%. "State of Procurement & Supply Chain Management 2026" measures how large this gap is.
PDF, 16 pages and one-pager, no newsletter requirement. Conducted at FH Graubünden on behalf of Zerovia GmbH.

This is where we step in.
Large companies cannot steer their supply chains end to end, because their mid-sized suppliers cannot deliver the data in a structured form.
The study series
Surveyed annually since 2023.
"State of Procurement" has been run since 2023 at FH Graubünden, as a student application project of the Digital Supply Chain Management bachelor's programme, commissioned by Zerovia GmbH (formerly Impact Procurement).
The 2026 survey ran from 20 April to 10 May 2026 as an online questionnaire, distributed through the CSCMP Roundtable Switzerland network, LinkedIn and personal contacts. For the first time in 2026, questions on supply chain visibility, resilience and risk management were added.
| Year | n | Focus |
|---|---|---|
| 2023 | 48 | Sustainability in procurement |
| 2024 | 52 | Expansion to include AI and regulation |
| 2025 | 45 | Costs and ESG strategy |
| 2026 | 74 | Visibility, resilience, risk |
What this study is not: The sample is non-probabilistic and not representative. In 2026, 30% of responses came from companies with more than 5,000 employees. The results are indications of trends, not a fully comparable time series.
