Accessibility statement
Zerovia GmbH designs zerovia.ch and zerovia.app so that they can be used by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or assistive technology.
1. Benchmark
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as our reference.
By law, we are only partly obliged to do so. The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) applies to services provided to consumers and exempts micro-enterprises that provide services (Art. 4(5)); ZEROvia addresses businesses. The Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz (BehiG) prohibits private providers who offer services to the public from discriminating against people with disabilities (Art. 6 BehiG). We implement the WCAG 2.1 AA requirements nonetheless.
2. What we implement
- semantic HTML with one H1 per page and ordered headings,
- colour contrast to AA; green text appears only in the darker variant,
- full keyboard operation and a visible focus,
- alt text for images; videos with subtitles and a transcript,
- no automatic movement without control; reduced motion is respected,
- controls at least 44 pixels high, layout for all screen sizes.
3. Known limitations
- PDF documents (for example the study) are not yet fully accessible.
- Product videos are gradually being supplied with subtitles.

5. Review
This statement was created on 30.10.2026. Last technical review: 28.10.2026, self-test against WCAG 2.1 AA (automated with axe-core and manual: keyboard, focus, headings, alt text, zoom to 320 pixels width). We review it at least once a year and after significant changes.
