An end to „wild purchasing“: How to manage costs and sustainability at the same time
Why control starts with the request and how you can create order with just one module
Before we talk about green supply chains, we need to talk about money. In many SMEs, the indirect purchasing the chaos: Maverick buying. Everyone orders wherever they want. The delivery doesn't necessarily end up in the right building or office.
The result: prices that are too high and a lack of sustainability data.
This is where Modern demand management (Intake-to-Pay) to.
Our approach: control through simplification.
View of the ZEROvia platform: This is where the process starts

In this series, we build the ZEROvia landscape step by step. It all starts at the bottom left of the module Demand management & approvals. The employee's request is recorded here - simply by chat or form. The AI immediately classifies the requirement before an order is even triggered.
Intake with AI: bundling creates market power
Imagine your employee reports: „I need five new monitors.“
- Guidance: The AI checks internal inventory or standards.
- Bundling: The system recognizes parallel requirements from other departments.
- One Data Set: The category (e.g. IT hardware) is set from second 1.
- ControlZEROvia forwards the order in a freely definable workflow to the person responsible for the budget (e.g. the line manager) and/or specialists (e.g. IT manager) for approval.
Conclusion
Controlling the «input» - the demand in the company - prevents unnecessary expenditure. This first module is the foundation for all subsequent steps.
